PJ Ratcliffe
PJ, the former B-player of the Blue Team, was forced to drop out of the 2021 Danza due to his attorney obligations, and has since been replaced. Despite his short-lived stay in the Danza Cup, PJ had one of the most important contributions to the tournament—the name of the Cup itself. When deliberating amongst the group for the name of the Cup, it was PJ’s idea to name it after the legendary actor, Tony Danza. The one and only tournament that PJ played in, he had arguably the best opening round of anyone, leading his team to a win in the best ball match. Immediately following this round however, PJ became ill and began puking relentlessly, in what would later be attributed to food poisoning from Pickles' wings. After spending the entire hour lunch break in between the first and second rounds of the tournament in the bathroom, PJ was quite evidently not the same player in the second round, and had left early to go home after a quick defeat. He showed perseverance and came back the next day to give it his all for his team despite still feeling sick, but ultimately, the food poisoning got the best of him, as it was too much to overcome. We will forever be left wondering what may have happened in the Inaugural Danza if PJ had been at 100% from start to finish. But regardless of his brief stay in the Danza, his contributions were as influential as any.
